SUMMARY:Foreign Film Friday: “Another Round”
DESCRIPTION:(2020\, 2h\, Denmark\, Comedy by Thomas Vinterberg) \n1 Oscar\, 60 wins. Four high school teachers experiment with maintaining a constant blood alcohol level to cure their midlife burnout\, with initially euphoric but ultimately dark results. Director Thomas Vinterberg uses a naturalistic\, handheld cinematography style with realistic lighting that shifts from static and drab to kinetic and chaotic. This documentary-like approach perfectly mirrors the characters’ state of mind\, capturing both the highs of intoxication and the bleak reality of addiction. Starring Mads Mikkelsen. \n       \nClassic world cinema every Friday!\nDonation-based. Light refreshments. \nCentrally located just off I-240 Exit 8; River Ridge Business Center\, Suite 1200\, 802 Fairview Rd\, Asheville 28803 (behind Hamrick’s and Sun Soo Martial Arts\, next to Hot Yoga Asheville and Asheville Dance Theater)
